Belle (f)
Belle was a part of a 15 cat colony when she was rescued, and was extremely feral. As she is Feline Calicivirus positive, she is unable to be placed on a farm as a feral cat so her future was uncertain. After spending extensive time in Hissys Haven she was placed into foster and she really came around and is now a happy, playful cat so we are confident that given time and the right interaction she will do the same in her forever home.
Belle will need to go to a child free, quieter home. She also does not like being touched or handled and her adopter will need to work with her to improve that. Belle happily takes treats from her fosterers hands and regularly bumps her nose and cheeks on her fosterers hand but she’s not a fan of being stroked currently. Once you’ve gained her trust Belle will happily play with you for hours with breaks for naps and snacks. She greets her fosterer with meows at the door every day and is very sweet in her own way once she trusts you. Her fosterer has found Belle an incredibly rewarding cat to foster and in the right home we believe she will really flourish.
Belle is positive for calicivirus so will need an indoor only home and to be the only cat, or she could live with another calici positive cat.
